Google regularly provides you with more keywords for your campaign in order to allow you to target more web users and not lose out on any missed opportunities. However, after reviewing this new tool, I have mixed reactions to this new item provided by Google.

Digg made an announcement last September 2, 2009 that they had made changes on their external links. Digg added rel=”no follow” to all of their external links, including comments, user profiles, story pages, and even unpopular entries. Matt Cutts, a Google Engineer backs up Digg’s idea.

Google mentioned that they are not using the site keyword meta tag. A keyword meta tag or a keyword tag is used to help search engines understand what is the page all about.

“The traditional early-adopter model would say that teenagers or college students are really important to adoption,” said Andrew Lipsman, director of industry analysis at comScore. Teenagers, after all, drove the early growth of the social networks Facebook, MySpace and Friendster.

Whoever said that social media is meant for the “young and trendy” had better eat their words back!
