comScore released a report last June 9, 2009 and in the findings, Microsoft Sites increased the average daily penetration for US searches! Google and Bing Comparison

Michael Kordahi conducted an experiment to find out which search engine is better and the result was BlindSearch. BlindSearch provides a result from Yahoo, Google and Bing and asks which results are the best. (This test tells me that its not “all-google-in-search”).

For me, the experiment was simple yet effective. First you perform a search and three columns of results will appear. Use the button to select which you think gives you the best, accurate, and complete search result. The logos will then appear to show what results you voted for. (This test tells me that it is not “all-google-in-search”).

In clickTRUE I made a small survey among my colleagues. I tried to let the respondents test “search engine marketing” & “web analytics” as keywords. I got eight respondents for this study.

First Round

For “search Engine Marketing” I got Bing for this keyword. I found that Bing’s results are more comprehensive. The basis of my choice here is the description and I don’t really go for titles. Most search engines have the same results but differ in ranking and descriptions. Some engines may shorten the description and title and as a result, searchers can no longer understand what the page is all about.

Second Round,  I also got same choice, I understand more on Bing’s description than the other engines.

Here are some highlights on clickTRUE’s Search Engine Test: Using BlindTest Tool

The Search Engine Test was fun. Based on our clickTRUE survey it was a surprisingly a victory for Bing. You give yourself a try which for you is your Search Engine that gives you the best result.
