Earn Respect: Make Your Website Credible

More than a 25% of the overall population having an access on the internet. Internet is now a big part of our lives (especially me..hehehe). I got more than 5 profiles on the website. I am maintaining more than 4 Social Media Accounts (Facebook, Multiply, Friendster, Linkedin.. etc). Internet is part of my life especially I am not in the Philippines now. I searched for news, read blogs, buy products, email… helped me on my boring hours.
But how can we say that the website we visited is TRUE? Legitimate? Original?

On my article today I want to help you, improve or earn respect on the web. Every tip I will share today will give you an “online benefit”, but to sum it all their is a big effects on getting a conversion.
My Sharing:
1. About your “About Us Page”
Include the real date of the business “… since 1975″ by doing this your viewer will now have an answer if your a legit online company or not. Don’t waste flowery words just to get the important things.
2. True Pictures of Real people
Use true images for website. Avoid stealing pictures.
3. Confirm if someone has made a sign-up
Try to make an email or a respond if someone has made an action of your website. Let your prospect know that you cared if someone accomplishes something and take good care out of it. “Autoresponders” are sometimes annoying and some email accounts may considered it as spam.
4. A-800-numbers
If possible avoid using answering machines or a recorded messages on your contact number’s. Your customers prefer to have human being to talk with.
5. Contact pages
If you got a picture of your office, the better. If you got a Maps to post, the better. Just to let the visitor know that you’re a legitimate company.
6. Testimonial on your Website
Ask good and real client to talk about there experienced on your business. That will add credibility on your website.
7. Avoid a 404 (Broken Link)
A technical approach. If possible avoid having a link that is not working or under construction. Make sure that your links are updated and must be working.
Visitors find it annoying if you got under constructions on the web pages.
8. Get links to good people
If you decide to post links to other people or companies. Make sure to review it. Find people on your industry that has already earned respect from there businesses.
9. Update your website frequently
10. Minimize the ads
Too many ads can lose a website credibility especially if your ads talks about other companies in your industry.
11. Spell Check
Check your articles or content for correct spelling. There are a lot of plug-ins today to help you correct the spelling if your lazy to double check it.
12. Add a Reference
Add credits to your sources, be thankful for there contributions.
13 Site last updated
Put something on your article that page like the last modified date.
14. Add humor to your website
It is nice to be yourself and having a good sense of humor to your website. One thing, just avoid humor that can offend someone.
if you offend a company or someone, You must apologize and ask why?
Make your website happy!!
15. Getting a guest authors
If someone will volunteer or willing to assist you on your work just to associate themselves with you. Remember a good and successful company is
sorounded by good and successful people.
That’s it! Hope by this 15 suggestions, your site will get a good online reputation and credibility. Important thing to remember is “Don’t waste words, make your content be credible and legitimate”.

Keep posting! I’m learning a lot from this article. This guideline sounds simple but it makes good points in presenting a credible website to potential customers.
