System Administrator

Position will be based in:

Singapore

Responsibilities:

Implement/Install and configure Linux/Unix based infrastructure systems/network solutions

Maintain, administrate and support Linux/Unix infrastructure

Maintain patches/errata for systems

Develop and maintain system support procedures and documentation

Monitor system performance and capacity; Recommend hardware, software and/or procedural changes to pre-empt forecast growth to infrastructure requirements

Analyze and solve conceptual, complex problems/situations arising from the daily usage of the servers, of an enterprise nature.; Provide solution and contribute to building knowledge base.

Monitor network traffic activity and pre-empt solutions to expand network

Administrate L2-L7 network equipments and troubleshoot network

Interface with developers to understand requirements and resolve issues that arise

Interface with vendors for support and/or new solutions

Requirements:

Minimum ITE/Diploma Holder in IT related discipline (Having relevant IT certification (RHCT, RHCE, CCNA etc) will be taken into consideration)

Knowledge in Linux/Unix system preferred

Keen interest in exploring Open Source solutions will be useful

Intermediate understanding of networking

Familiar with PC Hardware installation and troubleshooting

Some server administration knowledge/experience would be a big plus

Able to response 24/7 in high availability environment
